You do the work. Together we build the proof.
You have spent years building a practice on expertise, relationships, and results you know are real. The Meaningful Competence® Consultant Certification gives those results somewhere to live, and gives your clients proof that survives leadership changes, budget reviews, and the question every client eventually asks, "Did this actually work?"
There is a moment every experienced consultant knows.
You sit down to write a proposal, update your website, or brief a marketer, and you notice that what you know you accomplished and what you can actually document are not the same thing. The engagement was real. The change was real. But somewhere between the work and the words, the evidence never appeared.
Or a new leader inherits the project mid-intervention, and a conversation that should take 20 minutes takes 90 because there is no proof to hand her. You describe what happened in the past tense and hope she believes it.
Or the engagement ends well. The client is satisfied. Six months later, everything you built has quietly faded. You have no data to explain why, and no evidence as to when the perceived change began to fail.
Eventually, someone asks the question out loud.
"Did this actually work?"
You know it worked. You can't prove it. That's the gap this certification closes.

Kent Nuttall spent more than 30 years in talent development. One of his first major assignments was to evaluate a training program for a business services team. He wanted evidence that the training had actually changed what people produced.
The evidence wasn’t there.
The team worked hard—or seemed to. But they kept no records of what they did individually. The data that existed was aggregate, not by person. And there was no baseline to compare before and after results. The manager had the same frustration: corporate training groups routinely evaluated programs on how employees felt about them and how they performed on a final test. Nobody was measuring whether the training changed the work.
Kent ended up delivering a report built on test scores and a manager’s opinion. The training group moved on to the next project, still unable to prove their relevance.
That experience stayed with him—not as a failure to accept, but as a problem to solve.
The question was personal too. When he turned it on himself—what verifiable proof did he have of his own value after three decades in the field? The honest answer was: not much. He was producing value. He knew it. He couldn’t prove it. That confirmed what the training evaluation had already suggested: the system to do this simply didn’t exist yet.
He spent the years that followed searching for a system that could produce a continuous feed of relevant, individual-level evidence from inside an active engagement. The search produced many false promises. The research existed, but not the way to implement it. So, eventually Kent produced the Meaningful Competence® Toolkit, which then led to the easiest implementation of all this knowledge and experience: The My Value App.
The Meaningful Competence® Consultant Certification is how you access that system and become the consultant who can answer 'Did this actually work?' with evidence instead of reassurance.
The certification gives you a complete system for identifying, measuring, increasing, and sharing individual value inside every engagement you run. When the engagement closes, the toolkit and the app stay with your clients—and so does the culture of measuring value you introduced.
In the three-day workshop, you learn to deliver all five tools in the sequence that makes them work: start with what the organization measures, connect individual outputs to those results, build visibility through sharing, then assess what’s in the way of more value—and build a development plan with actual rationale behind it. You leave provisionally certified and ready to deploy.
The implementation is where the proof is built: you bring The My Value App into your client’s organization, and their employees work through the same sequence—building a verifiable evidence trail in real time. That accumulating data is what proves the consultation worked—not a retrospective report, not the client’s recollection, but a continuous record that grew during the engagement and keeps growing after it closes. Every active subscription also earns you 30 percent of the revenue—a continuing return on the culture you introduced.
Provisional Certification is earned at the workshop. Full Certification is earned in the field—through a real implementation with a real client, completed with a full implementation debrief, and supported throughout by the Torch Solutions Group community, monthly webinars, and with co-presentation support when you want it. The result is a consulting offering clients cannot easily replicate or replace, backed by proof that doesn’t disappear when you leave the room—and doesn’t depend on the organization’s memory of what happened before the last leadership change.
In the Meaningful Competence® Toolkit model you see the questions your clients are already carrying. The Meaningful Competence® Toolkit gives you the system to answer every one of them — with evidence, not estimates. The Relevance Microphone is supported by The My Value App, the individual subscription each participant owns, which carries their proof beyond the engagement and beyond the next leadership change.

There’s a gap between an idea and a methodology. These are the moments Kent closed it by acting on what he believed, learning from what happened, and building what you use today.
